In This Family

In this family, we say I love you. All the darn time.

We don’t take a trip to the grocery store…

We don’t go lift weights for an hour…

We don’t head off to work in the morning…

We don’t take a trip to McDonald’s…

We don’t shoot a text, asking for a favor…

We don’t run to the gas station for a lemonade…

We don’t go run a mile…

We don’t say “see ya later”…

We don’t go to spend the night at a friend’s house…

We don’t go to school…

We don’t split up for our different Sunday school classes…

We don’t receive gifts…

We don’t hang up the phone…

We don’t go on week-long vacations…

We don’t leave for just 5 minutes…

We don’t say “goodnight”…

… without saying, “I love you.

We really love each other. One day, we won’t be here to say anything anymore. We have no idea when that might be. No one does. We know people that have left their families angrily, but weren’t able to return back to them… it was too late.

So why not say I love you every chance possible? It’s not wasted breath. Ever.
